I was getting bored having black hair and wanted something lighter for Summer.

I was only planning on dying it brown but I wasn’t sure if applying a brown color with 20vol developer was going to do anything since I’ve been dying my hair permanent black for over a year now. I decided to use bleach with 20 volume. It went lighter than I expected so I decided to go lighter.

My hair was yellow on the roots and orange on the ends. I decided to go with an ash color to fix the brassiness. I went with Dark Ash Blonde on the roots and light Ash Blonde on the ends.

I could have added another round of bleach on my ends but some parts felt dry just after the first application. I’m happy with the look. I think it makes me look darker but that’s alright. As it washes off, it’ll get lighter. I might go lighter but we’ll see in a month how I feel about that.
