My husband was so impatient to take out the camper, even though it wasn’t quite ready. While I’m always down for a camping trip, I wasn’t about to lift a finger since this whole trip was his idea. As soon as I got off work, off we went.

I love driving small cars because they can fit anywhere. While I’ve driven an RV before and got used to the size, a camper is a whole different story. I just don’t feel confident driving one—mostly because of the backing up. I gladly played passenger princess the entire time. After settling down at our camping spot, we fired up the grill and prepared dinner. I set up a tent but once it started getting chilly, we went inside the camper.

In the morning, we set out for a nature walk. The weather was nice and gloomy. We made breakfast after and started packing up since the day was warming up. For a one night day, I think it went well.

I originally wanted to travel with a camper across the country, but after experiencing it firsthand, I really didn’t like the stress of towing something heavy. Now, I’m looking into a small RV or an SUV with some modifications. It would be so much easier to navigate through tight spots.
