I recently started playing Pokémon Go again because why not. I did say I wanted to play more video games this year. This wasn’t what I had in mind though. I still plan on playing Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Before I decide to settle down for that, I’ll keep on playing PoGo.

On my way back from a weekend trip, IG showed me a post of the Pokémon event at the Rose Bowl. I asked my friends if any of them were going. In the end, we all bought tickets and went together. I’ve never been to such an event so I was excited.

The whole thing reminded me of an anime/comic convention; a bunch of people gathering together for the love of a fandom. In this occasion; everyone was looking at their phone trying to capture Pokémon. It was a peaceful chill crowd.

Was I hoping to get a shiny Kyurem? Yes! I didn’t get one but I did get one that was 97%. I’m happy with that. I caught a couple of shines and one hundo.

As we walked around, there were photo set up’s that I took advantage of.

By the end of the day, I was so tired. One day of Pokémon catching was enough for me. It was fun though. I made a couple of new friends.

I’m currently in level 36. I wonder what level I’ll be in if I didn’t stopped playing when the game launched back in 2016. I do feel I am late hopping back into it but who cares. In just the short amount of time that I started playing again, I think I caught up with the new stuff. It’s been fun.
