Sequoia National Park

Anytime I get a 3 days weekend, I try to plan a weekend mini roadtrip. In this case, we finally went to go check out Sequoia National Park.

I booked a two night stay in a lovely camper. We were about 4 hours away from home. We got settled in and just enjoyed our evening in the camper.

The following morning we made the drive to Sequoia National Park. This was around March so I wasn’t expecting much snow. How wrong I was as we arrived to our destination.

It was a winter wonderland. I have never seen so much snow. It was nice, white, and fluffy. As we made our way back to the car, we ran into Bubblebee. More likely a cosplayer wanting to get some great shots in the snow. Link was so excited to see him and the guy was so nice to take a picture with him.

After sticking around for a few hours, we went back to our home and relaxed. We enjoyed watching a movie and called it a night.

It was time to leave our cozy camper. We packed up and started making the drive back home but not before stopping to checking out a town called Kingsburg, also known as ‘Little Sweden’.

We also checked out the main headquarters of Sun Maid raisins. Took a picture of the world’s largest raisin box.

We got heavy rain at some point but I think it just amp up the excitement to our adventure. Weekend trip was a lot of fun.

Got to finally visit Sequoia with the kiddos. We were only gone for 3 days but sometimes that’s all it takes to revitalize one’s self. I know I felt better mentally. I seek out nature anytime I’m overwhelmed and I do think it helps in clearing out my mind. Sequoia was lovely and I would like to go back. Because of the heavy snow, some roads and paths were inaccessible. I look forward to visiting again with less snow.
