The last convention I attended was Anime Expo 2019. After Covid hit, I wasn’t sure I’ll ever go to another convention event again. The scene is very much different now than it was a decade ago. My friend told me about Anime Pasadena which is a much smaller convention than Anime Expo. I can do something small. Besides the afterparty, it was fun.

I wasn’t planning on dressing up but I knew if I didn’t, I was going to regret it. I didn’t have any anime costumes that fit so I decided to wear my Rogue costume again.

I thought we were only going to be there for 3 or 4 hours. We stayed till the end. The afterparty wasn’t part of the plan but we decided to check it out. I remember the times Angelino and I would go to the parties after an anime convention and it can be a hit or miss. This one was a miss for me. We could have skipped it but we made the most of it and had a little fun.

I only bought stickers, pins, and charms for my crocs. There were a lot more stuff that I was tempted to buy but I held myself.

I forgot how fun an anime convention can be. Anime Expo was losing its charm on me and it was kinda hectic the last time I went. Anime Pasadena was a breath of fresh air and it was overall a great time.
