I know I’m getting behind on my book reading but I’m trying. After reading Padawan, I wanted to stay on the Kenobi train. I got my hands on the book Brotherhood. I knew Anakin was a part of the story but I wasn’t sure how much. Well, after I finished the book, it left me wanting more, in a good way.

I love Clone Wars, so any content I can get, I’ll gladly take it. Anakin and Obi-Wan’s transition from apprentice and master to becoming equals is not a simple adjustment. The book is mainly about Obi-Wan and his mission in Cato Neimoidia but we also get insight on what Anakin is doing as well.
I finally understand what Obi-Wan meant in the movie Revenge of the Sith, when he tells Anakin that the incident in Cato Neimoidia doesn’t count. Brotherhood mainly tells the story of the events of such incident. While Obi-Wan investigates the bombing in Cato Neimoidia, Anakin is adjusting to his new role as a Jedi Knight and husband. His secret marriage to Padme Amidala is complex since they can’t be openly affectionate but they try and make it work.
I don’t think there’s a better duo and a more tragic one. Obi-Wan and Anakin. Despite their personality differences, Obi-Wan acknowledges that they work well together. His first mission without Anakin and he can’t help and think, “if only Anakin were here”. Honestly, I can’t seem to get enough of them. I want more and I know I shouldn’t (silly pun).
